Benefits of Lettuce

We have been handling Lettuce for a while and there was this one time we harvested 2 huge bags worth of them and we were so excited to get them moving along to the market for people to buy and use. We feel people should also be able to grow some lettuce right in their homes and have decided to teach that if you Come and hangout with us on Feb 17. We have learnt a lot along the way and saturday is a good time to show all that to you!

That said some health benefits of Lettuce are

  • Lettuce is beneficial for reducing high level of cholesterol that often leads to cardiovascular diseases. It helps to reduce ones risk to heart attack and stroke.
  • Lettuce is a good sleep inducer. It can be eaten by people who have Insomnia. The white fluid seen when we break or cut lettuce leaves is called lactucarium that has relaxing and sleep inducing properties. It has no toxic side effect.
  • Lettuce is one of the vegetables that has many micronutrients not found in cooked or processed food. When taken raw, it adds vital energies to the body.
